Visitors won’t stay on a website for long if it looks ugly and is hard to navigate. We work with you to create a site that suits your brand and gives users an experience to keep them coming back.

Our skilled designers and developers have their fingers on the pulse of the online space—and they merge years of expertise with exhaustive training in interactive technologies. The result is an accurate, online portrayal of your brand identity, and a website that’s built to engage, convert and appease the search engines.

The core of our philosophy is to deliver a return on your investment by designing, developing, and maintaining intuitive websites that conform to accessibility and usability standards and adhere to search engine friendly criteria.

Which technologies do we use?

HTML/xHTML: HyperText Markup Language – it’s the code that makes websites work – what goes on behind web pages which you don’t see.

CSS: Cascading Style Sheets – helps with the structure and integrity of web pages over differing devices, platforms and operating systems.  A W3C recommended language for defining style (such as font, size, color, spacing, etc.) for web documents.

Javascript: Coding languages used to achieve effects and functions on websites that normal html and its variants cannot achieve. These bits of coding (or scripts) are normally embedded into a web page and will automatically activate as soon as someone arrives on the page. Please note that JavaScript is distinctly different to Java.

Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash: industry standard programmes for image and graphic creation, manipulation and animation.

Apache: An open source web server. Mostly for Unix, Linux and Solaris platforms.

MySQL: Free open source database software often used on the web.

PHP: A technology allowing the insertion of server executable scripts in web pages. Mostly for Unix, Linux and Solaris platforms.

AJAX: (Asynchronous JavaScript and XML) The “art” of using JavaScript and XML to create interactive web applications. With Ajax, web applications can exchange data with a web server in the background (asynchronously) and update parts of a web page without reloading the page.

Ruby on Rails: often shortened to Rails or RoR, is an open source full-stack web application framework for the Ruby programming language.

At Creative Mouse we only operate with Apple Macintosh computers for the fastest and securest workflows.
